eF & Be, named from the initials of founders and best friends Fumie (eF) & Bowie (Be), is a Burnaby-based Japanese bakery. 

Bowie has always admired Fumie's baking, and together they decided to start a fun project. In 2019, they launched their online store, one of the very few bakeries offering delivery service. During the Covid lockdown, they gained popularity, prompting them to try selling at farmers markets once the city opened up.

What started as a fun side project between two friends somehow turned into a real bakery. From late-night baking experiments to farmers markets and busy event weekends, it's been quite the journey. And after all these years, F & B are still doing what they love: baking great bread, meeting wonderful people, and most importantly,

having fun along the way ;)
